Solaris has presented its latest electric bus: Urbino 15 LE . The 15-meter-long Urbino 15 LE electric bus is a three-axle vehicle designed primarily for the Scandinavian market. The electric bus is powered by an asynchronous electric motor that develops 300 kW . The 6 battery packs store a total amount of energy of 470 kWh, which guarantees an impressive autonomy of 250 km. The Urbino 15 LE electric bus offers 53 seats and two foldable seats in the three-door configuration and up to 65 seats in the two-door version. Fiat has launched a very special version of its Fiat 500e electric car that adds a third door to gain practicality: Fiat 500e 3 + 1. The competition to develop more competitive batteries is fierce. The latest research from Stanford University and the National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) has presented a major discovery that will allow increased energy density and lithium battery safety. The works have focused their efforts on the redesign of the current collector. Renault has revealed the company's new electric concept, the Megane eVision . The electric car is a crossover/station wagon with a sensational design and sophisticated features. The series version will retain 95% of the concept design, and the launch will take place in 2021. Renault Megane eVision was built on the new CMF-EV platform developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. Megane eVision has a length of 4,210 mm, the width measures 1,800 mm, and the height is 1,505 mm. The wheelbase declared by the French measures 2,700 mm, and the total weight is 1,650 kilograms . The Megane eVision's engine has 160 kW of power (217 hp) and 300 Nm , which provides acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in less than eight seconds. The Hungarian production unit of Audi AG opened a new logistics centre in Gyёr on 7 October 2020. It houses the largest rooftop solar power plant in Europe . Alfons Dintner, CEO of Audi Hungaria, called the project a symbol of the company's commitment to sustainable development. A solar power plant of such magnitude is a functional, efficient system. Irizar e-mobility won a public tender for the supply of 49 electric buses to the French city of Strasbourg . The first electric buses are expected to be delivered later this year. These vehicles are intended to set up a sustainable public transport system. The CTS(Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois) order involves the 12-meter-long bus . The new Irizar buses will contribute to the electrification of the Strasbourg bus network. With a three-door configuration, the buses will offer a capacity of 23 seats, including 4 for passengers with impaired mobility , and two areas for wheelchairs, with access via an electric ramp. Electric buses will be charged overnight in slow mode. Just over a year ago, CUPRA unveiled its electric coupe SUV concept, the CUPRA Tavascan , and little else has been known about this project since until now. Wayne Griffiths, CEO of CUPRA and brand new president of SEAT, has assured that this model is "a dream for the brand and we’re fighting to bring it to reality". Nissan unveils 100% electric emergency response vehicle concept designed to provide a mobile source of electricity following natural disasters or extreme weather events. Nissan RE-LEAF concept  has been modified to cope with less pleasant events.
