Opel introduced the Vivaro-e electric van model which has 136 hp and 260 Nm. A new electric SUV is coming from the USA. Triton Model H develops 1,500 hp and promises an electric range of 1,100 km . Karma Automotive has revealed its first 100% electric car. The Karma Revero GTE will be available in the USA from spring 2021 and in China and Europe from autumn 2021.  The Karma Revero GTE will first be offered two battery options with 75 and 100 kWh NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) lithium-ion battery capacity, which enable a range of 321 kilometers and 482 kilometers. A more powerful model ("hyper-range") with a range of 644 kilometers will follow afterward. Chinese automaker FAW has started constructing a new plant in Changchun that will produce electric cars for its premium brand "Hongqi". The completion of the plant is planned for 2022. FAW wants a maximum capacity of 200,000 vehicles per year. The Hyundai plant in Nošovice, Czech Republic has resumed operation after more than three weeks of coronavirus shutdown. For the time being, only two of the usual three shifts work in Nošovice, as a spokesman for the German Press Agency confirmed. There are also stricter hygiene regulations, and the company premises are also disinfected several times a day. Walls were also installed in the canteen. Japanese carmaker Toyota and its commercial vehicle subsidiary Hino Motors is developing a fuel cell truck based on the Hino Profia. It uses technology that Toyota has developed for the next generation of the Mirai. According to a Toyota announcement, the chassis of the Profia was specially adapted for use as a fuel cell vehicle.  The almost 12-meter long Profia truck is said to have a total weight of 25 tons. The Chinese electric car startup Aiways will accept pre-orders from European customers for its fully electric SUV U5 from the end of April. Aiways plans to announce the European pre-sale markets and the required down payment later.
