Hyundai Kona Electric is acknowledged as the best electric car among Best Small Family Car in the first edition of the TopGear Electric Awards.

Following an impressive test route across nine European countries and with more than 1,600 kilometres covered, Hyundai's highly popular electric SUV is recognized not only for its efficiency and long-range but also for its effortless and good driving experience.

The test was conducted in the form of a 24-hour race, with BBC TopGear Magazine's chief editor Charlie Turner behind the wheel. He used the European fast-charging network to charge a total of 316 kWh during the test and charged up to a maximum of 80 per cent to get the most driving time possible.
