Volkswagen ID ROOMZZ: 100% electric family SUV


Volkswagen has presented at the Shanghai Salon a new member, in concept format, of its ID range of electric vehicles, the Roomzz, a large 4x4 SUV made to compete with the Tesla Model X.

The ID. Roomzz is developed on the MEB platform that Volkswagen has created specifically for its ID range. The MEB platform is designed for many types of electric vehicles and consequently with a high flexibility, which will allow to use one or two motors and different sizes of batteries.

The ID. Roomzz measures 4.92 m long and 1.89 m wide, accommodates 7 seats divided into three rows and has two engines, one on each axis, totaling 225 kW (306 hp) and a battery of 82 kWh, with which travels an average autonomy of 450 kilometers under WLTP regulations.
