Toyota PROACE Electric will be launched in European markets


The new Toyota PROACE Electric van will be launched in European markets from the fall of 2020. The range includes three body lengths and two different battery sizes, with up to 330 kilometres range. Its clever design ensures that the payload is maintained at 1 tonne, while the maximum trailer weight is 1 tonne.

Customers will be able to choose between two different battery packs to suit different needs. Both are of the lithium-ion type, delivering either 50 kWh (18 modules) with a range of 230km or 75 kWh (27 modules) with a range of 330 km (WLTP).

In their efforts to understand the needs of van customers, Toyota has found that they drive an average of 45 kilometres on a working day, which means that most PROACE Electric clients will not need to charge daily.
