BMW iX3 fully electric SUV will be launched later this year

BMW has done the homologation tests required for a fully electric car in China and Europe at the same time. After more than 340 hours of various tests and over 7700 kilometres travelled, the homologation was completed in four weeks. The results have been sent to relevant authorities around the world so that the BMW iX3 electric car can be type-approved for the various markets.

The BMW iX3 fully electric SUV production starts at the BMW Brilliance factory in Shenyang, China later this summer. The BMW iX3 will be manufactured on the same production line as other BMW X3 models at the Shenyang factory. It provides both high efficiency and great flexibility in production.
