Toyota Proace City Electric will hit the market at the end of the year
The Stellaris concern has almost finished forming a family of electric utility vans. Only Citroen is missing in the range, while Peugeot e-Rifter, Opel Combo-e Life and Toyota Proace City Verso Electric are already there. The latest model debuted as the last and at the same time as a cargo modification without the Verso attachment. The technique is the same as that of related "heels": the front wheels are rotated by an electric motor with a return of 136 hp. and 260 N • m, and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 50 kW • h is laid under the floor between the axles, which is enough for 260-280 km according to the WLTP cycle.
Buyers will be offered two modifications - with a body length of 4.4 and 4.75 m (the distance between the axles is 2785 and 2975 mm). There will be five or seven seats in the cabin, and the trunk volume behind the second row, depending on the version, will be 597–850 litres. If you fold all the seats, except for the front ones, then this figure will increase to 2126-2693 litres. It is also stated that the Toyota Proace City Electric Verso can pull a 750 kg trailer.
The car is equipped with a 7-kW charger, and optionally with a three-phase 11 kW charger. In the first case, filling the battery with energy takes 7.5 hours, in the second - five. If you use a 100-kilowatt DC power source, then the traction batteries will be charged by 80% in half an hour. European sales of the Proace City Electric family will begin in the fourth quarter of 2021. The first cars to be delivered to people in France, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and the UK.
