Vivaro GS Trim Explained: Diesel and Electric Van with Sporty Upgrades

-
Image
The Vauxhall Vivaro has built a reputation as the reliable, no-nonsense workhorse of Europe’s roads. It’s the van equivalent of that one co-worker who never calls in sick and somehow knows where everything is stored. But even the hardest-working employee deserves a makeover once in a while, and that’s exactly what Vauxhall has delivered with the new GS trim —for both the Vivaro and Vivaro Electric . It's a bold attempt to inject some style into the daily grind of hauling boxes, ladders, and enough tools to make a hardware store jealous. This expanded Vauxhall Vivaro review breaks down the Vivaro GS’s new features , performance stats, and value proposition. Buckle up (or at least secure the cargo tie-downs) because this van is aiming to turn heads—while still delivering parcels on time. What is the Vauxhall Vivaro GS? Let’s be honest: vans don’t usually scream excitement . They mutter things like "practical" and "functional" and sometimes whisper "bo...

Harley-Davidson plans its own electric motorcycles division

-
Image
Harley-Davidson plans to set up its own division for electric motorcycles. This emerges from the motorcycle manufacturer's now published five-year “Hardwire” plan. Previously there had been rumours in the USA that Harley could stop the electric project as part of its austerity program. The focus of the new department will be on technology development as well as product and market launch activities, according to Harley-Davidson. The Livewire, which has been available since 2019, is likely to be followed by a number of other electric models from Harley-Davidson. "The creation of a separate department enables complete autonomy in the development of electric motorcycles , which allows the business unit to behave freely and agile while drawing on the support, expertise and supervision of the broader organization," says CEO Jochen Zeitz. In the run-up, rumours circulated in the US media that Harley-Davidson had allegedly ended its electric plans . On the website of the US ma...

BMW's company car sales increased

-
Image
BMW defied the general trend and increased its sales in the company car market in 2020. A success factor is an increase in sales of electrified cars. More than 6 out of 10 of BMW's company cars sold last year were rechargeable . 2020 was a year marked by the pandemic, and the effects were also seen in the car market, which decreased by almost eight per cent compared with 2019. But despite this, B MW managed to increase its car sales in 2020 by 2.3% . Thus, BMW is the largest manufacturer among premium manufacturers. A success factor for BMW is the long-term sustainability work and the continuous investment in electrification. By 2020, the BMW Group had increased the number of electrified models ( fully electric cars and plug-in hybrid cars ) to a total of 13 models.  Last year, BMW launched several long-awaited plug-in hybrids in popular model series such as the BMW 3 Series and the BMW 5 Series Touring . They have contributed to the positive fi...
